ERA was started by eminent educationists with the larger objective of enabling holistic improvement of the education sector through consultation and cooperation with key stakeholders including policy makers, education institutions, corporate sector and the student community.
ERA FOUNDATION is a Not-for-Profit Foundation set up under the leadership of the Board of Directors Dr. MR Jayaram (MS Ramaiah Group of Institutions), Dr. G Vishwanathan (VIT Group of Institutions) and Dr. Prashant Bhalla (Manav Rachna Group of Institutions).
Dr MR Jayaram has dedicated 5 decades of his life to the development of the education sector in India . He is the Chairman of the MS Ramaiah group of Institutions . He has been the driving force behind many initiatives both in Karnataka and all over India. Currently he is the President elect for Education Promotion Society for India( EPSI) . As the Chairman of COMEDK (Consortium of Medical , Dental , Engineering Colleges of Karnataka) he was the inspiration behind the conduct of single entrance exam which has been successfully running for the last 17 years . Dr Jayaram has conceptualized ComedKares - an initiative to provide 21st century skills to Engineering students to make them employable and industry ready . Further he was instrumental in getting QS into India by a JV with ERA Foundation – with a purpose to help quality improvement in the Education institutions. It is his vision that steers ERA Foundation to achieve social impact especially for the underprivileged.
Dr G VISHWANATHAN is a renowned educationist in India. He is the Founder Chancellor of VIT, and a former parliamentarian. He is known for his passion for societal development and compassion for the underprivileged, Dr. GV as he is fondly called , has launched several schemes for uplifting the women and unemployed youth in the region to help them become self-reliant. Dr GV has been at the forefront of policy advocacy and interface with government and Industry bodies to help Indian education to be the best in the world. He has been a founder member of EPSI and has guided the organization in many initiatives.
As a Director of ERA Foundation Dr GV has been providing guidance to the team in achieving social impact in the areas of skilling and Career counselling especially for the underprivileged sections of society
Serving society by addressing the complex problems of the world, creatively, passionately and humanely – This is the motto of Dr Prashant Bhalla. As the President of Manav Rachna Education Institutions- MREI, Dr. Prashant Bhalla plays an instrumental role in bringing together, Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Spearheading the quest for Quality Education, he believes in the principle of Knowledge Triangle that focuses on strengthening the links between research, education and innovation. Apart from his educational roles , he is an advisor to ASSOCHAM and plays a key role in EPSI as a board member.
As a Director of ERA Foundation, Dr. Prashant is a friend, philosopher, and mentor to the team to Dr. Prashant Bhalla achieve their social goals.
